Lamination
Lamination is the process of adhering one film web to another. At J&P Flexographics, we decided to forego traditional solvent-based lamination techniques and opted for the technically advanced solvent-free method.
This application follows the same principals as solvent-based, in that, it is a two pot method utilising an A (Adhesive) component and a C (Catalyst) component.
The differences are:
- Reducing solvent retention, which can taint the packaged product
- More eco-friendly through reducing the amount of solvents used in the production process
- Efficiency gains through greater machine speed, means we can deliver a faster turn around on delivering products to our clients.
Ideal packaging applications for lamination webs include;
- Confectionery
- Snack foods
- Dairy products
- Chemical products
- Tea & coffee packaging
See Our Markets page for more information on how J&P Flexographics can service your packaging needs through lamination.
We also offer Microperforation production.
